Freeview PVRs to be called Playback

Following the popular Sky+ satellite personal video recorder, Freeview have dubbed their PVRs Freeview Playback.

Sky has sold 1.4 million Sky+ personal video recorders which allow you to record two programmes from any satellite channel, whilst watching a recorded one and to pause live television.

In the USA, the most popular PVR has been TiVo, and here in the UK they have been available for Freeview since it's launch, but have not sold as well as Sky+.

So to popularise them, Freeview will now call them Freeview Playback. See PVRs.
