Following the overcharge of red-button voting on the X-Factor, and telephone voting on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, ITV has pulled - from all of it's channels - all premium rate phone-ins.

This means that the 'rawlplugs in a lady's handbag' ITV Play channel has been pulled from the air with passing viewers seeing a message that "ITV Play is currently unavailable - we hope to be back very soon".

The BBC has also had problems with the Saturday Kitchen programme, and Channel 4 has twice had run-ins with the premium rate regulator over Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother.

UK Free hopes that this is the beginning of the end for these rip-off TV Quiz channels, and that the Freeview airwaves will soon be freed up and replaced with high-qulaity UK programming.
