Today, 30th October 2007, marks the fifth anniversary of Freeview.

There have been many changes since then, BBC CHOICE has become BBC THREE, BBC KNOWLEDGE had just become BBC FOUR, all the BBC digital radio services have joined.

ITV has started ITV-3, ITV-4 and CITV; Channel 4 brought satellite subscription channels E4 and Film4 - then they added on More4.

Sky Travel became Sky Three; the ITV News Channel has closed, as has FTN and ABC-1.

Congratulations to Freeview - and to Greg Dyke for having the foresight to launch the service.
