BBC Alba launches on 19 September

BBC ALBA, the Gaelic digital service will launch on 19 September 2008 at 9pm.

The BBC Gaelic language service will start on satellite and cable on 19 September 2008 at 9pm.

The channel will also be carried on Freeview when the transmitters in Scotland are switched-over.

The cable and satellite service will be viewable in the whole of the UK.
