Should you be able to control tv from tvlink remote eye using rf outputs 1 & 2 from sky box. I can only get the remote eye working from rf2 and not rf1.Any suggestions.

Mirsh: This will only work on a Sky boxes RF2 socket, as although the modulators RF output is exactly the same on both RF output sockets the power for the magic eye is only injected into the RF2 socket.

Sandra Richards: Please refer to the reply made to Ruth @ 4.53pm, as the contents of also apply to your own problem.

By the way, although that your Freeview reception might well still be OK, this is simply because the lower radio frequency signals used by Freeview do not get blocked in the same way by heavy clouds as do microwave signals as used by Freesat or Sky.

nnenna: Please refer to a reply made to Ruth @ 4.53pm today, as most of the content is also applicable to your problem, although "if" you have been using the same box for a lengthy period of time then the box itself could have developed a defect in its power supply, this in practically all cases being the cause of these boxes breaking down.

My grandmother has a Panasonic TV with in-built Freeview. This works fine. I bought a Sagencom Freeview+ box (record etc.) and tried to instal this however the reception is poor. The picture freezes and is out of sync with the audio. I checked all connections. Any ideas as to how to resolve this issue gratefully received?

I've recently ended my relationship with Virgin after nearly 3 years.

On my wall was an attachment to my existing coaxial aerial cable that I used to get free-view through and attached to this cable extension was a splitter and a bit further down a unit of some description.

Now, I also have a tv aerial socket in my bedroom.

I cannot get a free-view signal down the aerial in the living room yet can in the bedroom and am wondering if there is some kind of attachment to my roof top aerial that is stopping the signal. I live in a block of flats and i have a rough idea where the cupboard is but want to find out if this is the case before I call anyone out to open it to see!!

I have also found that the engineer cut coaxial cable and that is now too short to attach to a face plate properly

Some help and advice would be much appreciated!
