Viewers served from the Wrekin transmitter will have to prepare for the 3 September 2009 - It has been confirmed that analogue TV all television services both analogue and digital and radio services including BBC Radio Shropshire will be switched off for a period of 24 Hours to allow a helicopter to lift the new DTT antenna into place.

Complications with planning permission has made a temporary mast impossible. Bare in mind this date is provisional as weather conditions will be a huge factor...

This will also affect those served by relay transmitters of The Wrekin at Halesowen, Clun, Bucknell, Coalbrookdale and Haden Hill...

Arqiva confirm a small low power analogue service will be in-affect but that will still leave 13,000 homes un-served... Corrections post 2nd September 1232
