Two new national Freeview slots permitted

The BBC and Arqiva have approval for the creation of two new Freeview channels

Broadcast reports that approval has been given for the two new "national" slots.

As reported here on 27th Oct 2009, Two new Freeview channels - almost everywhere the two post- slots on the Arqiva multiplexes will be combined into a single sale with the two slots cleared by the BBC from B.

Hopefully the auction will start soon and two new TV will be start for everyone (except those on the Public Service Freeview Lite transmitters).
