Channel One to close, Challenge to come to Freeview

Changes to Freeview after Sky buys VTV channels

Changes to Freeview after Sky buys VTV channels
published on UK Free TV

Sky is closing one pay and one free channel from the portfolio it bought from Virgin TV, because they match channels already provided by Sky.

Bravo and Channel One (which was Virgin 1 and before that FTN) will close.

This means that the Channel One slot on Freeview will be replaced with the quiz show channel Challenge.

Challenge is now in the Freeview guide on 46. If you can't see it yet, please follow these instructions on your set-top box or Freeview TV: My Freeview box has no EPG, is blank on FIVE, ITV3, ITV4, ITV2+1, has no sound or the channel line up is wrong - ukfree.tv.

I have long suspected rupert murdoch has prensions to be in controll of all our viewing and dictate what we humblr being maz or may not watch, I too loved the opportunity to catch up on episodes of ther star trek series and deep space nine i hadnt seen n o dadl gone when no one had else ever gone. Murdoch needs to keep his hands off the english way of life and ztzy in usa who xeem to approve of his mediocre offerings
thsnk god for channel 5 and NCIS et al

Mark A: Thank you for that but after the way I was treated by Sky over some money they wanted me to pay them for nothing, I would rather take my £100-£200 a year and stuff it right down the nearest drain hole. I too would like to see series 2 of V but will not pay Sky IE Rupert Murdock for it. I would rather just go without it. I personally think the original V was better.
