A quick update.

I have extended the channel comparison page to provide two new facilities. First the TV comparison page now includes Freeview Light as an option.

Secondly, there is now a Radio comparison page that shows the various radio stations on each platform.

Peter Henderson: The official Freesat data says that the radio stations (including the RTE ones) are provided to everyone. Only 101, 102, 103, 104 have regional versions on Freesat, as there is only 105 on Astra 2D.

BBC Radio Foyle on DAB was supposedly a trial Brian, and only in the mornings (the bit rate of BBC Radio Ulster was dropped to 64 kbps to accomodate this). I would imagine it'll possibly reappear once the band is cleared next year as a result of ASO in the ROI (i.e. band III television being switched off) and NI gets some extra space.

I was thinking there was something of an anomoly in NI with respect to Scotland and Wales having their second BBC regional services on satellite when NI didn't.

Peter Henderson: I understand that as no one complained about it being taken off DAB, the BBC did not feel the need to extend the trial.

I agree it is a bit of an anomoly.

Briantist:

On your "Free-to-watch channels" page at;
All free-to-watch channels | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice

Ceefax is on BBC1 and also BBC2 analogue.
Teletext is also on ITV(1), Channel 4 and possably Channel 5 analogue.
(S4C analogue has closed so no analogue, but did have Teletext)
303 is on PSB1, so is also on Freeview light.

MCMLXII: Yes, Ceefax still is on BBC TWO analogue. I can only list one channel number per service.

Teletext has closed on all services, including Freeview.

303 is not on PSB1, it ONLY listed for Multiplex B now by DMOL.

PS. Teletest is also on satelite Channel 4 but not ITV.
Channel 5 satelite has a text service starting on page 500. There is no page 100

Briantist, MCMLXII:

303 is on PSB3, it was on multiplex B in some areas but moved on digital switch over.
So it is on Freeview Light.

BBC1,2 and ITV1 still have teletext page 888 on satellite.

Mark A.: I see. The supposed "primary source" DMOL Post-DSO Multiplex Channel Allocations does not list 303 for post-switchover, only on Mux B pre-switchover.

I thought 303 had closed and the bandwidth was part of the "deal" with Arqiva, which is one of the TBA channels. Selecting 303 never shows any content.

Yes, there is still a "teletext" service, but not a "Teletext" (ie, the service that replaced ORACLE on ITV, with a capital letter) providing subtitles on satellite.

MCMLXII: It's not Teletext (the company) but teletext (the protocol). The Channel 4 teletext service used to be called "4Tel".
