Nigel Archer:

It is only available from the few main transmitters providing COM7. There are 35 of those. None of the other transmitters is able to provide the broadcasts.

iain stevenson: Have you checked for any loose or damaged cables or connections behind your TV? Please provide a full postcode so that we can see which transmitter you're using, where you are in relation to it and your predicted coverage etc.

Hopefully an easy question I've got one aerial coming into my property I've got 2 Freeview boxes one in the lounge nearest the aerial coming in and one in the bedroom, the Freeview box in the bedroom receives Smithsonian channel the one in the lounge does not although the Freeview box in the lounge is newer I wonder if you can give me any clues I've tried retuning that didn't work.

Mike: Smithsonian Channel is broadcast in SD but is only available with a HD receiver, as it is carried on a HD multiplex (i.e. broadcast using DVB-T2 which can only be viewed by HD receivers).
