alan.

If you checked your aerial by connecting to another TV and it was OK I think your TV was faulty.

I live in Bridgwater and get a good signal from Mendip. Why, then, is ITV1+1 on UHF channel 54 the Welsh channel? It doesn't really matter but seems strange.

John: basically it looks like ITV have only invested in enough delay boxes to manage the six satellite services, rather than all 12 traditional regional licences that they own (and the micro-regions that make up those larger regions). All the transmitters in Wales, the West and South-West (former Westcountry region) are transmitting the Wales +1 service.

ITV are really more concerned with ensuring that the right adverts are played out: it's possible to buy space on all of Wales, the West and South-West as a single macro region.

I live in Chippenham and up until recently had no problems with the Mendip transmitter. However I recently noticed that 4Music channel (18) was missing so I did a re-scan and saved all channels again. This works fine until I turn the TV off when it is missing again. (Philips 37PFL5522D)
When I checked your data above I notice that all the programs transmitted on Arqiva B are missing. Re-scan gets them back until I turn the TV off when they all fail again.
I have checked antenna and connections and all seem fine, besides I receive all these programs on the Hard Disc Recorder on the same antenna okay and two other TV/digiboxes on other older antennas.
Could this be a problem with TV not storing channels correctly?

Philips 5522 series of televisions, LC7.2E chassis have a softwarwe fault on Arqiva B, channel 67 off Mendip. Tuning doesn't stay. Philips don't appear to know what to do about it and it may resolve itself in September but don't hold your breath!

I bought a Panasonic TX-L42D25B television in August 2010. The EPG worked fine until about three months ago when much of it was blank on both Freeview and Freesat. About three weeks ago there was a software update and the EPG was then fine. But a week ago I went on holiday and I returned to find it is again as bad as ever (THere had not been anoither software update in that time)

Both times the problem occurred I did a complete retune as well as a return to shipping condition - it did not help.

I have a roof aerial and all other equipment (Including an earlier Panasonic TV and DVD HD)work fine. The signal strength and quality on the set are showing as fine.
When it first went wrong Panasonic said it was a problem with the Mendip Transmitter (I live in Paulton near Midsomer Norton)which affects TV sets made in 2010. Can that be right? And would that also affect the EPG on Freesat?

I have emailed Panasonic 3 times but cannot get any reply
