Hello June Witham.
Your ROSS HD Satellite Kit is nothing to do with FREEVIEW, it is to do with FREESAT.
That is to say, standard TV aerials will not be any use to it.
The dish in the box is for aligning to the ASTRA Satellite. The same one that $KY broadcasts from.

FREESAT is a bit like FREEVIEW, in as much as, there is no subscription to pay. But there are several hundred TV and Radio stations on FREESAT.

I bought a ROSS kit for a friend, it took about 15 minutes to align the dish to the correct satellite (28 Degrees East) but we used a Sat-Finder to help us.

Hope this helps?

Kind regards James Watt

June Witham: Just to add to James Watt's posting, non dedicated to Freesat boxes can be a nightmare for finding specific channels, however if you enter 10818V - 22000 - 5/6 into the set it should receive BBC West service. ITV West country (South) is 10832H - 22000 - 5/6, but it may not respond and come up with unavailable or whatever, as I am not sure if its one of the free "but encrypted" channels, as some are some aren't!

Ignore the post code section in the menu, as its only purpose is to show the dish angles used in various countries, the box being sold world wide.
