Using a Linux computer and DVB dongle, I couldn't get MUX A

It is in fact on 698.2 MHZ not 6902 MHZ, as specified.

Brian : assuming you are pointing at Sudbury, did you have the digital ITV channels before today? Many people around here (Ipswich) cannot pick them up yet because they are still on very low power on CH56 from Sudbury B : I get them OK in IP2, but my brother-in-law, half a mile away and also in IP2, has never received them despite buying the most expensive aerial he could find! He is 'lower down' than me (i.e. closer to sea level) and I've always assumed that tbis is the problem. They will be fine on full power from July 20th.
Alternatively, are you on the Stoke Relay and picking up Freeview for the first time? In which case, it is only the BBC channels that are currently being relayed from there : from July 20th it will relay the PSB channels, sometimes called Freeview Lite, and that will include *some* of the ITV channels (but not all).

Mike, very busy here today, wonder why!
Rouncefall and Sud using the same frequencies, really? Don't they mess each other up? If this works why cannot all xmitters use the same channels etc for digital? Make it nice and easy for us.

After today's retune, I am pleased to report that my Goodmans GDB6 digibox can handle 8k mode, as well as all my other DVB receivers. Strangely though, the BBC channels show an average 63% signal strength (about the same as before DSO1), but all other channels show a significant increase (e.g. Dave 15% to 52%). I'm in a 'marginal' Freeview area, but can still get 70+ TV and radio channels. Now looking forward to DSO2!!

Hi. Found I had lost BBC1 BBC2 on all 3 digitalTV's in house. Re-tuned 2 no problem, but Sony TV on re-tune could not auto re-tune. Had to go into manual tuning and select channel 44 and select each BBC station manually. Anyone know why and will I have to do this again later in July?

Hi just posting a reception report after the first SUDBURY transmitter changeover.
I'm near Tiptree with a huge historic building about 300 yards away in direct line of sight to the transmitter.
I did a full retune on my set top box today and all BBC stations have now gone from medium to very good quality strength on my box, including BBC4 which sometimes went to poor and lost the signal. It's a cheap box(less than £20).
When the full tune comes around with increased power in 2 weeks can I expect all the other channels to come through at the same strength?
