Hi Brian

I wonder if you can help, I have noticed today (6/2/12) 18:30 on ITV1, blocks of different types of colour keep appearing on our TV screens. I have never seen this before. It seems that only ITV1 is effected. I checked your website which says that the Whitehawk Transmitter is not experiencing any problems and no engineering works are taking place. I'm at a lost why this is occurring. We use Freeview, all I can think of maybe its due to the weather. We are not IT minded at all I'm afraid. Thank you for your time and help regarding this matter.

Clare McNeil: I can't see any problems with my reception of multiplex 2. I would suggest you have a look at Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

Hi Brian, thanks for getting back to me. Normal service seems to have returned, thankfully, as it became impossible to watch ITV1 due to the colour blocks flashing up without getting a headache. I will book mark your helps links in case this situation occurs again, hopefully it won't. Many thanks for your help and time with this.

Clare McNeil: I'm glad to hear that the problem has gone away. Switchover isn't that far away and the much improved signals then should see this kind of issue be a thing of the past!

Clare: Whitehawk Mux2 (ITV1, C4 etc.) has been occasionally dodgy here (BN1 5) for many moons, although not too bad in the last few months. We're holding our breaths that the switchover next month will greatly increase the signal!
