Some retunes 21 November 2012 for viewers in the Caldbeck transmitter region

Some of the first places to switchover will have to perform a retune this week as the transmitters using C61 and C62 are changed to make way for 4th generation mobile broadband next year. If you are in the English/Scottish Borders, you will probably use the Caldbeck transmitter or a relay.

If you use any of the transmitters listed below, you will have to retune your Freeview equipment on the morning of 21st November 2012.

Barskeoch Hill: PSB3 C62- to C50
Creetown: PSB2 C62- to C50
Gosforth: PSB1 C61 to C49
Grasmere: PSB2 C62- to C50
Haltwhistle: PSB2 C62- to C50
Kendal: PSB1 C60 to C60-
Kendal Fell: PSB2 C50 to C40
Portpatrick: PSB2 C61 to C49
Sedbergh: PSB2 C50 to C40
St Bees: PSB1 C61 to C49
Thornhill: PSB2 C60 to C60-

Quite a few digital relay transmitters, including Langholm, are subject to "service shutdowns" over this week.

Mike Potter: ITV signals back. However very weak and result in frozen image which is unviewable.

Has the work now finished or is this a work in progress with the signal to resume normal viewing soon.

This is a disaster.

Just updated with a factory reset and I now have all ITV channels but no BBC.

What is going on? Digital UK can tell me nothing.

Mike Potter: If you have your aerial is directed to the Langholm transmitter, then try manually tuning to UHF channel 57 for BBC.
