Freesat launched in May 2008.

The service has all of the BBC services that Freeview and Sky viewers have, but with a few exceptions.

Because the satellite interactive video streams were on a Sky encrypted managed transponder, Freesat viewers only had the text interactive service.

From today, the BBC now provides the video streams for interactive sporting and entertainment events.

They can be found by tuning to a BBC television channel on Freesat and pressing the red button on the remote.

Mark A.: I wish I'd found that webpage first...before a wrote complete rubbish!

Thats great - although I was assuming that all 3D content had finished, they'd obviously saved it for the special.

Steve Norton's kids will get to see it in 3D after all.
