Dorne as you will see from the above you are predicted to have weak but usable signal. Which could be unusable if you have local obstacles. NB that is for FREEVIEW with a conventional aerial not FREESAT with a dish.

I'm not clear which you have

Dorne I suggest you contact a local installer (one with a local address/tel no not an 0845 0800 etc. say where you are and see what he knows. Many will call and assess for free.

dorne mccrae:
Have you checked that the TV actually is working correctly? Do that by seeking the help of a frind/neighbour and taking your TV to their place and checking it can get all the programmes. If it can, then ask for their help by borrowing their TV and plugging it into your aerial system. If it has the same problem as your TV then the aerials system is at fault. If it is OK then your TV is at fault.

Lost normal (freeview) signal again. Been off for about 2 weeks. About 3 months ago we had a thunder storm and no sigal for around 3 weeks then suddeny signal was there and able to re-tune the TV. There must be an issue with RidgeHill (Ledbury) transmitter. I know the systems say no reported faults. We were about to call an ariel engineer in, when it came back last time.

Feel very cheated as paying for TV license and no signal. Post code is GL17 0LP

James Porter: Since the transmitter reports no problems, logically, the problem must be with your system.

Since you had a thunderstorm, its likely that the weather caused a problem with your wiring, perhaps through water getting in a crack or break. After a couple of weeks it possibly dried out, but now its back (and you had no need to retune the TV, that was fine). Your first instinct was probably the right one - call an engineer.

I don't think your being cheated - its very likely your system at fault, not the transmitter.
