Amanda Peterken: The answer is unfortunately no, as this programme is broadcast on what's known as a "Local Multiplex", neither of the two stations that cover your area, namely Redruth & Caradon Hill, having a local multiplex.

I think you need to check this transmitter. I have had jumpy picture, and signal going in and out for several days. It's on the MUX Com5 (Pick TV, Dave etc). I have checked everything else. Also other people in my area said they have the same problems.

Nigel O'Connor:

It is very unlikely to be a fault at the transmitter, but much more likely due to recent weather conditions. Do NOT try a retune under these circumstances.

Nigel O'Connor: How do I report a problem that I suspect is on the transmitting mast? We have no signal at all now on the com 4 and com 5 stations, and have been having trouble with them for several months now. I have checked with quite a few people in my area, and all have reported the same problems, which started with the bad weather we started getting at that time. Even on the good days that have been calm, we still don't get the stations, which lead me to believe there is a problem with the mast.

Nigel O'Connor: If you had a problem for several months with a transmitter, and certainly if nothing was being broadcast on two muxes, you'd expect something to be done/large number of complaints. Yet there seems to be nothing wrong with the transmitter at present.

However, your problem sounds a lot like a worsening problem with your own system - the gradual dying off of certain muxes, etc, possibly after bad weather. Its possible that water has got into your system, or high winds have weakened connections, etc. You havn't given a postcode, so we have no idea where you are in relation to the mast, but check that you are actually tuned into the correct transmitter. When people retune, as MikeP pointed out to you before, they can lose the original transmitter, and find another one, much further away - thus compounding the problem. Check your signal strength as well - whats good, whats bad? And certainly check your system, starting back from the lead in the back of the TV. Has it come loose, etc?

Yes, other people might have a problem - but it doesn't mean its the same problem! You need to narrow down the possible causes, and then see if its widespread, local, or just you.
