Hi, i have some constant interference with my Free view box over the last two weeks, this consists of distorted screen, freezing, loss of sound making it impossible to watch the channel, this is a twenty four hour issue. This has happened on most channels but not usually on BBC. I have an Ariel in the loft. Not has these issues before.
My postcode is DE22 3AH
Do you know what may be causing the interference?

Thank you

Christina

Christina :

I have had problems with my you view channels. The screen shows either no video signal or unsupported signal.
I spent ages on the phone to a BT help line and going through the reset procedure. The help line booked a BT engineer for later this week. Now I discover that a number of friends of mine in Prestwick and Ayr are having similar problems but no oone knows what is being done about it. I am in Troon (Ayrshire) post code KA10 6 LL.
What is going on?
Evelyn

Christina : Whats your signal strength on the various muxes? Although some boxes can have a sudden software problem, if you getting interfrence or breakup, then the signal is normally too low or too high. If its too low, then its often a result of a fault in the aerial system - a frayed or broekn cable, etc.

Its noy impossible for a temp inversion to occur (some people had one the other week), but there hasn't been anything reported yet.
Evelyn - the same goes for you. If there is 'no signal', the box is telling you just that. And again, its normally down to a problem at your end.
