I have a problem recording BBC4 HD on a Humax 2000T recorder. I often get weak or no signal messages. Other channels work fine and my aerial is a new one recently professionally installed. Sometimes these recordings are successful sometimes not. Would a wideband aerial solve this problem?

Thanks. I am tuned to Channel 31. The annoying thing is that it works some of the time but is not predictable. I also had a recent recording on BBC 2 which worked perfectly for 57 minutes of a 60 minute recording when suddenly the screen went black with a "weak or no signal" message. This is a different channel.

My Humax box reading for Channel 31 on Winter Hill is 51% signal and 100% quality. This signal reading is actually higher than for the other WH channels serving this box. The TV reading (Sony Bravia KDL46W 905) is 94%. My Humax 2000T has signal readings of between 65 and 68% for the WH channels when I attach the same aerial, so I doubt it's the system. My aerial and cable are all newly professionally installed. I'm wondering if it's a Humax software issue which they are keeping quiet about? I have the 2000T connected to a separate Moel Y Parc aerial and I'm wondering if switching the new Humax to Wales would solve the BBC 4 HD problem.
