Let's hope this will finally resolve the power output problems from Oxford that we have been promised since our switch over last September.

As I have stated before there clearly is an issue between 9 and 10 pm every night. Let's hope the increased power promised for tomorrow solves it.

I have just looked at the various transmitters available to us at SN3 4ST and the two Mendip ones are just 7 kilometers away, and yet the predicted channel reception is only good on 4 Coms, whereas Oxford is green on all.

Why is this. We use Oxford but given the close proximity of Mendip one would have thought a far superior signal would be received.

That could be it. So does that mean the relay doesn't actually boost the power.

As far as Channel 62 is concerned no idea what is on it but I am still having trouble with channel 30 mainly which is one the the '5' channels. Rather than the no signal message I get the no aerial symbol appear, which os course can't be right and all the other channels are there.

Generally now most channels appear stable.

Dave L could this be the same issue for me, it does seem rather odd though that we can predict that we lose channel 62 as regular as clockwork about 9.15. I retune and it comes back, last night though it took two re-tunes.

You say all the Oxford channels are 60% in yet I get at least 21 about 30% in.

We are SN3 4ST

Stephen my question also.

jb38 I have a signal strength meter do I just plug it in the aerial input or output.

My unit is Thompson recording system. The problem also occurs on another set with a built in decoder.

Join the club, mine has been coming and going at the same time of night for several months. I will have my monitor to see signal strength tonight.

Isn't it interesting that different people experience the same problem, but we are told not to re-tune etc. Well sorry, how do we put things right, when the problem seems beyond our control.

I was getting an absolutely excellent signal on Channel 62 at 9.10pm last night. I was watching channel 10 (ITV3) turned it to 31 (Fiver US I think, and black screen and no aerial signal. Checked Channel 30 exactly the same, so went back to Channel 10, that too then had the same problem.

I decided to use another digi box, which seemed to work fine, so tonight I will again be looking at around 9 to see what happens. I know electronic equipment can have intermittent issues but I never known it to be scheduled intermittent.

Well a different problem last night, although similar time. My bbc3 was freezing even though bbc 1 & 2 were fine.

I also noted the comments about C62. according to the list and my set up C62 is active with the '5's, ITV3 etc.
