Hi Brian,

Some fantastic work!

The TX Params depend on the multiplex operators keeping Ofcom up to date with station/multiplex names. Obviously, whilst I was good at this, not all other multiplex operators are, which is why 'X F M' still appears!

As you've used London 3 as an example, it is interesting to compare it with the coverage map DRg publish for London 3: The Digital Radio Group (London) Ltd - London's third DAB
multiplex

An email may be worthy.

It's the age old issue of the technical people being in a different department to the licensing people, coupled with slack updates from certain operators, this is how things can slip through the net.

Brian - the map I linked to is the one I had done when I managed the London 3 multiplex (my defunct email address is still on their webpage!).

The map I linked to shows coverage of UEP3 (58dB) and UEP4 (61dB) services on London 3.

For comparison, CE Digital (London 1) don't publish their coverage map, however Switch (London 2) do publish theirs: http://utvdab.co.uk/PDF/London_II_10txs_FS_IL_2009.pdf

Briantist: Ah, what appears to happen is that when you however over a link. For example if you however over Alan's map link/reception link above, the postcode is revealed.

Mark A: Have you seen the map I have linked to further up on this page ( http://www.localdigitalradio.co.uk/SussexTX.jpg )? That is a bit of a contrast to the one on this page.

Mark: I use Internet Explorer.

It seems that the website sucks up a postcode typed into a post and then assumes that is the postcode of the person posting a comment!
