Looking at the transmitter maps, I note that many of the reception areas go off the map, so the complete reception area isn't shown (see Sandy Heath and Crystal Palace, for example).

Hello Brian,

For Sandy Heath on 23rd November, you say that Arq A will move from 67 to 52. As far as I can see, Arq A is currently on 40, not 67 (67 is currently occupied by Arq B until tomorrow, when it moves to 48).

Regards,

Nicholas

Hello Brian,

You used to show potential conflicts for co-channel interference, but this has now gone. I am in a multi-transmitter area and have two wideband aerials, one pointing towards Oxford, and the other to Sandy Heath. When Oxford switches tomorrow and later this month, I can see several conflicts as follows (some are existing, which already block signals from both the relevant transmitters):

14th September:
ch29: ArqB Oxford / D London
ch31: SDN Sandy / HD London
ch34: BBCA Oxford / C London
ch48: ArqA Oxford / ArqB Sandy
ch68: 2 Oxford / A Hemel

28th September:
ch55: ArqB Oxford / 2 Hemel
ch59: ArqA Oxford / B Hemel / D3+4 Luton
ch62: SDN Oxford / C Hemel

Could you please restore this facility, as it's really useful to see which signal is the strongest; for example both the Hemel and London signals are strong enough to cancel out Oxford at the moment, even though I have no aerial for London.

Talking of signal strength, both the London and Sandy signals are strong enough on BBCA / 1 and D3+4 / 2 to be picked up on the Oxford aerial, without signal break up!

Regards,
Nicholas

Hello Brian,

No. You used to list the conflicting signals and specifically state that (for example) on channel 51, the signal from Hemel Hempstead would be stronger than the signal from Oxford, meaning that the Oxford signal would not be received. The above link isn't as useful in this respect, as although it shows in detail the signal strengths, it doesn't say where one signal will overide another.

I'm picking up 12 multiplexes at the moment on the Oxford (wideband) aerial (22, 24, 25, 27, 28, 32, 48, 51, 52, 53, 67, 68). According to the predictor by frequency , there's nothing transmitting on 67. What could I be picking up on this frequency?

@mst: Thanks for this link, confirming that Sandy Heath transmits on 67. The freeview predictor by frequency omits this:

Could you explain why some channel frequencies have + or - next to them? For example C40+,C42-.

Yesterday I was getting 12 muxes (22, 24, 25, 27, 28, 32, 48, 51, 52, 53, 67, 68), but on rescanning at 6.30 this morning got only 6 muxes: 48, 53, 55, 59, 60, 62. Tried again at 8.00, and now get 15 muxes (22, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 32, 34, 48, 53, 55, 59, 60, 62, 67) and 244 channels! Strangely though, my box has put ITV (Oxford) in the 900 series, and put ITV (Sandy) in the normal position instead; BBC Oxford is in the correct allocation.

Given that the signal from Oxford is the strongest, and that I'm getting Oxford, Sandy, and London on just the one aerial, is any way I can get it to put Oxford ITV in the correct allocation, and Sandy back with London in the 800 and 900 series? With 244 channels, I've filled the 800 series and am up to 965!

Hello,

Since switchover, I have had no EPG, but can recieve all 5 muxes. I tried rescanning, but this has not helped. The EPG is still blank, so I'm having to set timer recordings manually, which is time consuming, as I have to scroll to the start and end times in one minute increments!

Sorry, I should have given the whole picture. I'm getting EPG for Sandy Heath, and some (but not all) Crystal Palace, but nothing at all for Oxford. My box has also allocated ITV Oxford at position 3, but put BBC Oxford in the 900s. I'm getting all 5 muxes (6 in the case of Crystal Palace) on all three transmitters, so presumably it's not that I'm missing the mux that the EPG is transmitted on.
