Is the new That's Oxford programme - broadcast via the Oxford transmitter - purely broadcast to Oxford city itself or is it intended for the whole area reached by the Oxford transmitter? I live in Faringdon and would love to be able to see this as we get very little Oxford news really - the "local" news aimed at us is mostly about Basingstoke / Portsmouth and even Sussex, with only about 10 minutes Oxford news out of half an hour at 6.30 pm (BBC).

Dave Lindsay - Many thanks for your comments. Being something of a technophobe, I will have to think about it!! In general, reception is great at present, but I note your comments that chances of reliable stable reception for That's Oxford - presuming I can get it - are not great. Might be safer top let well alone for the present with my current aerial, but maybe a change to wideband in the future is an option.

Post code SN7 7HY I had no channels at all last night from about 6.45 pm through to about lunch time today. The same thing has happened this evening from about 7.45 pm and still nothing. My next door neighbour also reports the same problem. We do not share an aerial or even the same chimney! A similar problem occurred on Wednesday /Thursday last week. What is going on? I do not see how it could be a problem with my aerial.

Thank you for your reply and suggestions. However, after following your instructions, no channels returned so I gave up and watched on line. I am pleased to report that the service has returned this morning and all is well at present. Thanks for endeavouring to help.

Reception back to normal today. So I am still none the wiser.......
