David SH: Would you not be better avoiding autoscan and scanning only the multiplexes you are actually looking for? The numbers are helpfully provided in this site. You would need to clear out all the existing stuff first, usually by autoscan with the aerial unplugged.

The link still throws up an error message BTW. It seems suspicious that it should end in = as I expect it would need to equal something.

However, that aside, my box is different so my comments may be inapplicable. Mine in manual mode but not automatic mode allows you to select 2k and change it to 8k.

Phil: I don't think it's possible to 'receive' one channel and not 'receive' another channel in the same multiplex. You either receive the multiplex or you don't. I think you should check through the numbers to see if channel 5 is in an unexpected place (800s). What does your epg show at between 4 and 6?

Is there an option to move 804 to position 5? I believe some boxes allow this.

Adam: Mad question I know but I assume you used the new channel numbers for the manual tune and not the old ones?

If you had all the Freeview channels before, you cannot have been using Glasgow West Central transmitter as it did not transmit digital until the switchover took place. I assume you were using Black Hill or Darvel. I suggest you try to work that out by checking the direction your aerial is pointed. You could then look at the page in this website for the appropriate transmitter and find out the multiplex (channel) numbers then try a manual retune for these channels only. Before doing that you need to clear out everything. That involves either a factory reset or rescan with the aerial unplugged. I would do both to make sure. I had a few problems that I resolved in the way suggested.

LD: Does this box have a USB port? If so maybe you should check if there are any firmware upgrades available on-line.

The above looks like spam to me.

My posting refers to a posting now removed. I am not accusing myself of spamming!

What does it mean that C37 can be received by all aerial groups? Group C/D starts at channel 48 according to the details elsewhere.
