Also in W3 and have the same problem as Michael O'Connor.

Only got HD TV two days ago so don't know if this is a new problem.

Rooftop aerial is checked regularly.

First two attmpts were unsuccessful and third attempt ended up on page 38. So here goes again:

I'm also in W3 and have the same problem as Michael O'Connor.

This is my first HD TV and I've only been 'experimenting' for the past two days so don't know if it's a new problem.

Rooftop aerial is checked regularly.

Thank you for clarifying that.

Is there any reason why W3 should be a bad area for HD?

Thank you for the reply and for going to the trouble of looking me up on the map.

Yes, it's a block of flats with a communal aerial giving good reception on all the other channels (analogue and digital).

When I tried to do a manual retune last night it showed pretty much 100% signal strength on all channels except 31 (which showed 0%).

The aerial system receives regular maintenance, but as you say, I'm not sure if any necessary adjustments have been made for HD (although it has been available for some 2 yrs.).

Until some years ago I used to use an indoor aerial which gave great analogue reception despite being pointed at the wall. Would it be worth trying this option, or would it not be suitable for digital and HD?

Humax HDR Fox-T2 works for me so far (only had it up and running for a fortnight). Good review on Ricability, as well as recommended by lots of people who have it.

The plaque on Alexandra Palace says it was the 2nd November 1936. I love the way they describe it as "the first high definition television" broadcasts, not quite the same as 1080p!

Don't say that Iain, I'm sure there are middle aged people who like seeing themselves on Blockbuster from 30 years ago. :o))

The default code on most of these devices seems to be 0000 (four zeros) or 1234, so if you haven't changed it since purchase one of those two might work.

BBC future: make sure you make the deadline

I was really disappointed with both surveys; not once was I asked my sexual orientation or ethnicity. That is the least one expects of any survey these days, even the local council asks such basic, yet important, details when consulting regarding moving a pedestrian crossing a few yards.
