Hello,
I was able to receive movies4men on Freeview until a few months ago but now ,all I get is a "signal lost" message on the T.V.
The channels are on 800-801 and I live in the Poynton area.
I have read this may be because of blocking by the 4G network.
Could you please help ?
Thanks

Dave Lindsay:
thanks for the gen. Dave .
I'll try a re-tune on the strength of your very helpful information, though it looks like I'll need a new aerial with more gain as my T.V. has not stored this channel but my Philips PVR 8520 has but with a very weak signal strength.
I think it best to do a re-tune with the aerial plugged out, then another with it plugged back in again to reset the T.V.

Thanks and Best Rgds, Ian.

Hello,
I started suffering a poor signal and decided a new Ariel was necessary.
The firm I contacted ,to put up a new mast and Ariel, and run the co-ax to the nearest air grid (they do not go under floors.that was left to me,aged 69) was:

ORBITAL STREAM LTD MANSFIELD GBR which came up as a local firm on the web, though I live near Macclesfield,Cheshire

They charged me for about one hours work and the Ariel, mast etc. £439.20 .!!

It was only later when asking round that I realized I had been ripped off; to late as I had agreed the price while feeling this was very high,I just wanted the job done and out of the way before Xmas.

I would just like to warn off anybody from this firm and benefit from my very bad experience with them

Richard E: I note your views about the so called "Left wing Bias" in the BBC.
Would you rather it be like Fox News with its extreme right wing bias, or like the Daily Wail with its lies and distortions ?
Can't you stand any News Media that just tells it how it is, without bias and with fair debate from each side and equal and accurate representation of the views of both sides
and accurate reporting of events ?
My view is that the BBC should continue as it is as it does a fine job for the British viewers.

I think a tax on Sky TV equivalent to the amount the TV licence costs for the whole of the U.K.
would be the way to go to replace the anual charge for the TV licence.

Notwithstanding the above , I,m afraid ,aged 74, that I see some Men going more and more like women, hair stylists, manicures, etc and small, white hands, effeminate, that have never seen men,s work ,and invariably swear with Ladies present.I don't think that they see themselves as being much different to the Girls as this is the slant put on things by the TV and media.
Women were said long ago they were more likely to copy men then men would women in their dress and pursuits.
And so it is with most of them. They swear, have tattoos up to their ears, play men,s games and worst of all dress in men,s, trousers and jeans. The jeans have false holes in like we used to get in our knees through cycling to school, though our Mothers would repair them long before they got in the state some "girls" actually buy theirs in. Unbelievable.!! They look terrible !!!!
We have three daughters, two Grand Daughters, and two great Granddaughters and they would not dream of wearing gimmicky Masculine apparel like that. In the sixties, fifties, and seventies,
Girls used to delight in being able to wear their summer dresses and they looked very pretty and they were soft, feminine, funny, pretty, and desirable, and that,s probably why the average age for marriage for Girls was nineteen in the Fifties and Sixties.
I'm sick of women dissatisfied with being women and not accepting the fact and a whole host of effeminate filthy mouthed "Men" as reflected in the above article. The BBC cheer this on with the so called "Comedians" strutting from side to side on stage in front of a mixed audience who quite frankly must have been dragged there and not be able to leave.
Very disillusioned with today,s society who are probably much like the writer of the above article.
