C49 (698.0MHz) after switchover
Monday 11 July 2011 9:30PM

Receiving BBC1 East Midlands on Channel 49 no problem until about 10 days ago. Now nothing. Re-tuning doesn't help, manual or otherwise. Am in Corby, Northants and very high. Can pull Belmont BBC 1 Yorks and BBC 1 East perfectly.
Any ideas please.

Corby

KMJ Derby. Thanks for the info. My postcode is NN17 2LQ. Everything else comes in "to perfection" ( as did C49 carrying BBC 1 East Midlands till around the 6th July ). Maybe I should wait for the Waltham "re-set" in August. Anyway, thanks for your reply. Much appreciated.

Lets make things look professional. PLEASE PLEASE as Steve P says, change the title to the correct "how will this AFFECT......". Apart from that, thanks for all your efforts Brian.

I live in Corby, Northants, and we have to switch continually between Midlands and East to get any news. None of the newly proposed areas include Corby. Missed out again. Thanks for nothing ( literally ) ITV !!!!

Friends in the business and members of recognised Institutes, all tell me that there " ..is no such thing as a digital aerial.." yet you constantly refer to them and have articles about them. Who is right and what is the true story ??

Freeview reception - all about aerials | Installing
Wednesday 27 November 2013 5:43PM

To Mike P:- Thankyou for that. I don't have a reception problem. I am lucky that on two aerials I can get BBC East Midlands, BBC Midlands Today. BBC Yorkshire, and BBC East. Same with ITV. My old aerial on my bungalow is aimed at Belmont which it amazingly sees from the East Midlands ( Corby ). I am so lucky. However, at last I have my question answered, so thanks again.

I don't mind the advance notice of channel changes to come on September 3rd, but why is the notice still there on the 6th, three days after the event?. How long will it persist ?. It ruins any recordings I preset.

I have a huge black panel with white titles " News headlines, All free TV, My freeview etc" . Clicking ANYTHING, brings up the data behind that front panel. but can't get rid of it. What happened ?. Am on Vista Home Premium and I.E. 9. Managed to reduce enough to See" what was going on.

Thanks Briantist, but since everything else on the entire computer works OK except for your site, I am reluctant to change anything. Thanks anyway.

Briantist: Thanks for your reply. I get the impression that I upset you by the tone of your reply ( and in bold ). I am well versed in radio and TV but not computers. What bugs ?? Since everything microsoft, and emails and excel and Amazon and everything else works without objection, I was taught as an engineer, " If it ain't broke don't fix it " Anyway, I apologise if I upset you.
