Hi. I am having a problem tuning my Technika TV to receive a new station That's Surrey. I have completed a factory reset and attempted to retune a number of times. This prompts my to ask as to which aerial I should be using vertical or horizontal. The existing aerial is mounted on the side of my property at GU7 3PT which has visual sight of the transmitters on the Hogs Back Guildford which I would think is appropriately 2.5 miles away if that.
A further oddity is that my Smart Samsung which is connected to a roof aerial directed to Crystal Palace London picks up the Thats Surrey signal but a Sony Smart TV and a Hitachi Freeview box all connected to the same roof aerial as the Samsung will not tune no matter how much I retune each of the sets.

Would you be able to confirm that we, who receive signals from both Chrystal Palace and Guildford (Hogs Back) with be able to tune into Freesport in the near future. I have tried to find this information elsewhere but thought I would ask an expert.

I seem to be unable to tune my smart TVs to receive Free Sports from either my local Guildford transmitter or London. Is this station not yet available in these areas?

I have installed a new aerial using the Midhurst Transmitter and rescanned many times but remain with the same problem. All BBC channels ( 1+2+231) break up. Every other Freeview channel are of full reception with no breakup of picture. It seems that the BBC signals are weaker, is that possible?

Hi.
I have attached a copy of a posting I composed on Facebook, Guildford Past & Present recently and to date have received 265 comments and 76 likes. I was wondering if the content of this is something that your station would be interested in covering. Would it be possible for your news team to qrecord the problems at the locations I have listed during busy periods.
Also another area that has arisen in the comments from locals that seems to be causing holdups is the pedestrian crossing adjacent to Debenhams store

It has now been officially recognised by a survey carried out by Inrix (see Eagle Radio Local News) that Guildford has the worst traffic congestion problems in the whole of the UK. With this in mind would it not be prudent for some form of action to be taken to alleviate the problem.
If the bus lanes that run along both Woodbridge Road and Onslow Street were removed allowing vehicles to use the full road width this measure would I feel greatly assist the traffic flow especially drivers wishing to use the A281 towards Shalford.
A further bottleneck is the roundabout near to the Police Station where York Road, Woodbridge Road, Onslow Street meet. Congestion is caused by motorists ignoring the "Keep Clear" road markings during busy periods. The remedy for this would be to install "Peak Time" traffic lights to control the traffic.
I feel that it does not take a lot of thought to see an answer to the problem.
