These muxs are outputted at the same strength so in theory you should receive them all the same, the only time that you would is if there is an something disrupting the path of said transmission.
If this is the case then you should try mounting the aerial in a different location, it is not always the highest point which is the best, for example- imagine a block of flats at the bottom of your garden, how are you going to see past it? you will need to get above it or simply move to the left or right to see past it, the same applied to receiving aerial reception, moving even a few feet from its current location could be all it needs.

To receive channels on other tvs in the house you will need cables run from the main aerial. As you are only renting you should get permission from the owner, the cost of the work will be your own responsibility if you do get permission.

The dish needs to be aligned to the correct satellite, if you are using a cheap satellite finder then the chances are it wont tell you what satellite you have found, therefor making it very difficult to find the satellite which will give you UK channels.

Just a little guidance, if you are having an aerial installed in a loft you shouldn't be paying more than around £80, if the install requires a roof install then this could be upto around £200 plus £40 per tv point the rigger runs a cable to.
This is only a guide as everyone charges different prices.
Things to look out for when choosing an installer would be spec of cable they use, if they mention fitting a tv amp do they mention installing a 4G filter as a precaution.
Don't pick a national company, try and find a local installer who will rely on his reputation and should provide a better service.

You should always be able to pickup every channel.
showing you a working system on a sky box is not the same as freesat and therefore no defence for the system working
You can amend the tv settings to only scan for Astra.
This shouldn't make a difference though.
With the dish you receive 4 beams of signal, they hit the dish at different angles so if not installed correctly you could have an obstical blocking one of the beams thus giving you missing channels.
I would imagine that when they aligned the dish the have not checked they are receiving all 4 beams on the dish.
To be only getting 50% strength then you have issues that will only get worse in back weather, you should be looking for 80% plus on the freesat strength.

I never said that a loft aerial would be suitable.... I never even checked the location....and if you could READ you would see that I gave approx. prices for both loft and roof install, so my roof install price of £200 plus £40 for the cable run is only ????????? ah £10 away from your £250 estimate.
Maybe I do know what im talking about.

if you have run 2 extra cables from the dish to the second location then you should first try fitting the box in the location that you know works, if the box works in this location then you know the issue is with your cable run.
I have never come across a LNB that has a faulty port, usually its all or nothing, if the issue is with what you have fitted then you should double check the connections as this can make all the difference.
