The emphasis on Under 24's is ridiculous and ostrich-like. I have 2 adult children under 24. They NEVER watch TV news, and. only watch TV on catch-up.

22% UK population is over 55 while 18% is between 5 and 25.

National / international news is becoming worse with only 1 or 2 stories with a little funny / sentimental one at the end. There are already 24 hour news , extending news is an irrelevance. More detailed local news is required. Local bbc regional websites are terrible with out of date, infrequently updated items.

Why is it necessary to align local news with political boundaries ?

Stop the BS and just say it is all about money and we want to pander to young urban people and to hell with the rest - maybe they should look at where the wealth lies instead
