Well - given the USA has cable in the middle of nowhere I think we could do it - trouble is we think underground all the time, whilst the US has cables above ground in many rural areas.

The comment regarding Kingston-upon-Hull - why wouldn't their local telco take on the supply of Channel 6?

Hi

No you wouldn't be pointed at Tacolneston. It will be Sudbury. Coverage SE from Sudbury isn't that good at the moment and Sudbury does switch before Tacolneston in the summer.

There are other choices, Dover could be a possibility as you can get analogue Dover there, but you are right on the edge. Felixstowe/Aldeburgh or the other new lite DTT tx at Clacton I think will be out. Personally I'd look to Sudbury for the summer and then perhaps think about swinging the aerial round towards Dover if Sudbury isn't that good.

Christopher: Where I grew up is Line of sight for Sudbury and my parents still live there. Even with a good aerial system the ITV mux is poor. It is highly directional.

I've just retuned as instructed after 28th Sept and have 'no signal' on every single channel. This is the Tetbury area (GL8 8).

Has something screwed up? Can literally get no channels at all now.

Hi Bob
All sorted on the 23rd Nov at 100KW ERP for all MUXES - I've had problems with reception just 17KM away on some MUXES (especially since things changed) and in Suffolk also picking up the main MUXES from Belmont too. Down the road Sudbury is flying in on the main MUXES (low power reception is not possible). Have picked up Sudbury and Sandy here nr Bungay.

Hi

Even for my parents who are line-of-sight about 10miles NE and you can see Sudbury from the roof/aerial with no obstructions CH63 is just useless.

They are now resigned to either getting a log-periodic professionally installed or waiting till next June. I've told them to go with the log p.

Mr A Sherreard

In Colchester you'll be using Sudbury - not Tacolneston.
