Mendip (Somerset, England) Full Freeview transmitter

I get my service from the main Mendip transmitter. I see something is changing on September 28th, but I am not sure what.

Will I need to retune?

Thanks for all the info - I have some PC
cards to retune and it is so much quicker if you have the numbers and do it manually. This
is my take on how it's going to be.

CH48 =690000 ITV3, Five*,Five USA etc
CH52 =722000 Film4,Yesterday,ITV4 etc
CH54 =738000 ITV1,CH4,Five etc
CH58 =770000 BBC HD,BBC1 HD,ITV1 HD,CH4 HD
Ch61 =794000 BBC1-4, News 24 etc
CH67 =842000 Dave,Pick,Really etc

************

CH56 =754000 Gone for good
CH57= 762000 Gone for good
CH62 =802000 Gone for good

Local CH51 =714000 (Local, when and if)

Retune Again March 28th 2012, CHs stay the same, but modes are changing.

Have I got this right now?

thanks for checking Andy, and spotting my mistakes. This is the amended version.

CH48 =690000 ITV3, Five*,Five USA etc
CH52 =722000 Film4,Yesterday,ITV4 etc
CH54 =738000 ITV1,CH4,Five etc
CH58 =770000 BBC HD,BBC1 HD,ITV1 HD,CH4 HD
Ch61 =794000 BBC1-4, News 24 etc
CH67 =842000 Dave,Pick,Really etc

************

Local CH51 =714000 (Local, when and if)

Retune Again March 28th 2012, CH 67 moves to CH56 (754000)plus mode changes.

- I want to make sure this is exactly right so I can put numbers into an XML which scans my PC cards up in jiffy.

I'm all present and correct here as follows
near Highbridge

CH48/690000 SDN
CH52/722000 ARQ-B
CH54/738000 D3+4
CH58/770000 PSB3
Ch61/794000 BBCB
CH67/842000 ARQ-A

A bit of a mission to get a couple of older boxes to scan up right - One needed the 'first birthday' and the other I scanned 'aerial out' and then manually put the muxes in - I eventually got everything with the right channel numbers! - I'm not very optimistic about there being an end in sight, there is the March 28th retune already scheduled and then the new frequencies. More of the same I fear!!!

The last day of analogue television in the UK - goodbye PAL | S

I had just graduated (1976?) and had a summer job near Oban in a hotel. When I arrived we got
snowy B&W pictures from Ulster on a good day.

Then a new transmitter opened (on Mull ?) and suddenly perfect colour pictures - mind you I was far to busy having the time of my life to watch TV !

I was an early onDigital subscriber and had big reception problems. They sent out an aerial specialist free of charge to try and sort the problems out - and the guy's assistant tried to flog me a pirated card. No wonder they went out of business!!
