Hello,
Your website is a font of information for tv and radio reception - I only wish there were sites exactly like this for reception in other countries! Keep up the great work.
My question relates to DAB reception in Epsom, Surrey. According to your DAB maps I am on the fringe of the Berkshire & North Hampshire Hemdean transmitter (980W) as well as the Kent Bluebell Hill (1200W) transmitter and as luck would have it, on an almost 180° line between the two. I have ordered a 5 element DAB antenna; would it be more advantageous to point it towards the 'weaker' Hemdean & could Bluebell Hill be received from the back of the aerial at the same time? The London multiplexes notwithstanding, the Berkshire & North Hampshire multiplex would be the preferred multiplex to receive.
What do you think about off-direction reception of the extreme fringe Essex Benfleet 12D transmitter? (50.3399,-4.7611)

What can be done in regards to receiving co-blocking ensembles? I have noticed that around the Solent it is possible to pick up both Bournemouth & Sussex Coast multiplexes, both transmitting on 11B.
(The same question applies to London 3 & Sussex Coast 11B on the Hampshire & West Sussex border and between Salisbury and Andover for Swindon & South Hampshire 11C)

Secondly, on a new Sony Car radio the Berkshire & North Hants multiplex includes XFM however, on a Sony DAB hifi tuner connected to a 5 element DAB aerial the same 12D multiplex, with better signal strength than the car radio, does not contain XFM. How is this so?

The HBB & Northants multiplex on 10D is coming through nice & strong in Epsom. Reception is better than 12D Berks & North Hants & the DAB aerial is pointing at Hemdean! It's a funny ol' game!
