Nora not at all clear what equipment you are using.

If you still have a dish that got normal UK Sky TV you can replace it with a cheap Freesat Tuner.

If your old digibox is Freeview - ie conventional aerial, worth giving it a try if you have an aerial.

Why not simply say to the mark (sorry; "respected client")

"The cheapest I can do is £x. That will be the lowest spec of aerial; fitting; cable etc. It will work; but it is more likely to give problems sooner. For an extra £x I can give you the quality I would use on my own or my parents' house."

Another "new" feature is Freeview is now showing a short region code on standard definition BBC ONE

Thanks Brian, but how and where is the code and how do we decode it?

I have nonHD Freevies and Sky HD free only (no card)

IIRC some BBC/ITV channels are not Freesat ih HD.

Will these be on Freesat from Sky?

Do I need to do anything to get them?

PS TV all to pot tonight. Showing archive footage about S Eftika

Sean Barr perhaps it is going round and round until it disappears up its own input socket?

Hope others may have a more technical response for you!
