Take 2, I would try and record from CBS Drama now, its been mentioned on another website that CBS Drama had EPG problems over the last week, without EPG data, I doubt if your box would record.

From what I read the fault is now cleared.

I think also the double retune stems back to the DSO switchover.

If you remember, the BBC2 analogue signal was turned off before the rest of the other signals.

To me the current double retune, one week after the other has two reasons, firstly it warns people that something is going to happen and they need to make sure they know how to retune there boxes / tv, secondly when the other MUX's change frequency tomorrow morning, people have an idea when the transmitter is switched back on and it is safe to retune.

It will be interesting to see how much disruption is caused by this, many people shouldn't need a new aerial as a good c/d aerial should work on the new Brierley Hill frequencies, but communal aerials or older aerials may suffer a little more.

Interesting that is is only the one MUX that you are having problems with.

I receive Brierley Hill and have checked and all my signals are fine on all MUX, although chaannel 37 seems slightly lower than the rest. For the following day after the overnight engineering work, some channels were pixilating but that now seems to have cured itself.

Certainly over the last few weeks when i have passed the transmitter, engineers can be seen working on it, about half way up on a series of panels that seem to go the whole way round the mast.

If you have no joy in restoring the signal to channel 37, would give the Freeview advice line a ring and explain to them the situation, especially the fact that this has only happened since the engineering work took place in the early hours of 23 May 2018.

PBS America is available on Freeview from Sutton Coldfield, that's the good news, the bad news is that it is broadcast on COM 8 which is not available to all viewers.

If you are able to receive BBC 1 HD on channel 101 that means your receiver is capable of receiving COM 8, but sadly there is more bad news because both COM 7 & 8 are transmitted at a much lower power than other channels and so sadly the areas in which you can receive them are limited. Also usually a widen
band aerial is required.

Before you think about getting a new aerial etc, remember that COM 7 & 8 are only temporary, by the end of 2022, i think it will be earlier, they will be switched off.

Just a reminder that Kidderminster is now an SFN with Brierley Hill.

Don't know if this has any connection with the problems being reported but Londonderry has been having major engineering works carried out since 25th February and they are due for completion 20th May 2019.

Therefore the suggestion to contact Arqiva is a sensible one, with engineeers at the transmitter should be easy for them to check what is going on.
