Update to my Channel 60/ITV4 problem. I had JT Aerials out a couple of weeks ago. He found that the coax from the aerial went through a splitter to go to the conservatory TV as well as the lounge TV. The conservatory bloke hadn't done it very well so he fixed that and replaced coax from the wall to lounge TV, all for very reasonable small charge. Still can't get Ch60/ITV4 on the LG TV receiver, but it's excellent through the Topfield PVR. So at long last, I'm happy. LG TV should be fine in September when Lark Stoke transmits Ch60 on full power. Thanks to John at JT Aerials.

Hi - I thought Larkstoke's low power multiplexes would go to full power this morning when Sutton Coldield completed DSO.
But the Larkstoke section shows they are still at low power. My Humax box can get ITV4 (one of the low power channels) but my LG TV can't.
Also, I retuned my Humax box at 7 this morning but then noticed the TV came up with the standard 'retune' message again. I actually read it for the first time (!) and noted it said retune at 11am this morning. I cleared the message and behind it was another message saying retune at 9am on Sept 28th. I can't find anything online here saying a retune is due on Sept 28th.

Ah - I see Brian's entry at 8.45 - don't know how I didn't see that when I read through this morning! Having said that, I still can't see Sept 28th referenced anywhere else here

I have an old Philips DTR210/05 set top box. It's been ok after numerous retunes over the last 2 years. Last week, the retune after the final Sutton Coldfield switch-off picked up all the usual channels so having checked all seemed normal, I put it in standby. Next time I switched on, nearly all channels had disappeared. After many retunes and getting the same result after standby on/off, I called Philips. They said it's an old box and doesn't have enough memory for all the new channels (odd as it was fine after the first half of the Sutton switch-off). Advice was to retune, then delete a few channels and it should be ok. Didn't work - I retuned (with aerial out, then again with aerial back in), deleted all radio plus all porn/shopping garbage and got down to just 26 channels but it still couldn't save them after switching to standby and on again. Any ideas? Can only think that the digibox is faulty

Thanks JimF - I will pass that info on as I've given the Philips box away and replaced it with a Sony digibox which was sitting upstairs having been displaced by a PVR. Sounds like a good plan though.

Hi - this morning (28th June 2012) I've started receiving a message telling me to retune. I can't find anything on UKFREE to say that a retune is due. Any ideas?

Syd Wall: Thanks Dave..I'm away for a few days now but would be surprised if we were able to get broadcasts from the Anglia region. I'll check that local BBC news is still Midlands when I get back.
But thanks for confirmation that there are no changes at Lark Stoke & Sutton C.

Hi,

I retuned my HDR Fox T2 around the start of November after seeing messages for some time that Film 4 was changing channels.

After doing so, I found that a number of channels were not being received on their standard numbers. For instance, ITV had little or no reception on channel 3 but was coming in strong on 800. Similarly, the HD channels are not coming in on channel 101/102 etc but are spread around the 838 to 843 range.

Having examined the multiplex channel numbers, I can see that I am receiving a good signal from Larkstoke, but the Humax is allocating 800 numbers to the two multiplex channels C23 and C30. All other channels are on their correct numbers.

I retuned again when I realised a couple of days later but it returned the same results. How can I make the Humax allocate the right channel numbers to the channels received from the strongest local transmitter?
Anyone else getting this problem since Film4 moved?
