Sudbury (Suffolk, England) Full Freeview transmitter

I also live in Southend on Sea SS0 area and have found problems since the Anglia switch over. My Aerial points to Sudbury and prior to switch over I received channel 12 "Yesterday". Since switch over I no longer receive channel 12. I have also checked in the 800 range and it isn't listed there either.

This may or may not help.

I do not have Sky but I do have a small portable Satellite Dish and a Free to Air receiver box. If the Sky Dish points to the same Satellite as the Free to Air service, then it should be possible to use Free to Air. You will need to buy a Free to Air receiver to do so. Free to Air by the way is a different service to Sky and Freesat. It does offer many of the free UK channels though, plus others not on Freeview or Freesat. Free to Air receivers boxes are available in both Standard TV or HD TV form. Maplin I have found are a good source for such receiver boxes. You can by the way use a 2 way or 4 way Y connector to provide transmission from the Dish to two or more receiver boxes, should you wish to do so. Maplin and Screwfix are good sources for the latter mentioned Y connector.

I don't know if this will help you. I use a Portable Satellite Dish and pick-up hundreds of Free Satellite Stations. That Dish is pointed to Astra 28.2 E Satellite. I am using an IceCrypt Satellite Receiver Box, supplied by Maplin. If your Sky Dish points to the same Satellite then if may be possible to pick up those Free Satellite Stations too. Many of those Stations on that Service are the same as those on UK Freeview Service. You may to have change your Satellite Receiver box in order to receive those Stations. It isn't the FreeSat Service, that is a separate Commercial Service. The one I am using I believe is called Free to Air Satellite Service.

John: I have lost channels 86-99 too; after todays retune. Channel 40 and some other channels have also disappeared. I am using a Wideband Aerial. I pick up Greater London Services, not Anglia, even though I am based in Southend on sea. Anglia signal is poor in my location, hence using London.
