Ross. Yes, quite a few of us in the Aylesbury have lost Dave and some other channels from the Mux C group. Strange how it isn't all channels in that group but hopefully they will be back soon.

I agree with Del..I just wish they would get it sorted. We keep hearing about changes that are months away, why not get them done now? It seems like the public now has to fully understand transmitter frequencies, attenuators, Mux watts etc etc. I can remember the day when you could just watch the telly!

James. It may be another case of too much signal and worth trying adding an attenuator. They are very cheap to buy and just plug in to your aerial lead.

My Pioneer TV's clock is set by linking it to an analogue channel which has now obviously gone. Has anyone found a way of stopping the clock set warning screen constantly coming up? I've been through the menus but think it's impossible.

Braintist. You are probably right but sometimes there are some hidden menus in TV's, freeview boxes etc. so it was worth a punt but I'll just have to live with cancelling the message box each time it pops up.

I live in Aylesbury, postcode HP21 9TZ. All my channels work fine with 80% strength and 100% quality except the C62 group, i.e. ITV3, ITV2+1 etc. Those channels show a jumping signal and are often unwatchable. Has anyone got any ideas why just one group would be weak?

I think I finally fixed my problem today! After reading through a lot of other peoples posts on this site it struck me that we all seem to be having different variations of the same problem so I used a signal meter on the incoming aerial lead which showed 'weak' signal. I then installed a mast amplifier on the aerial pole and the new reading showed 'strong' signal. I turned the amplifier adjusting screw slightly down and now have a 'good' signal and no problems on any channels. I wish I did this months ago - total cost £15 and an hour to install it.
I posted this as it may help others who are struggling with the loss of only some of the channels.

Andrew. I can fully understand you switching, I got freesat a while back too and it is certainly more reliable. The only downside is not all freeview channels are on freesat so I ended up keeping freeview as well.
Not wishing to teach my grandmother to suck eggs but have you tested your freeview signal strength with a meter? I had your problems and a meter showed me that my reception was weak. A mast amplifier cured it and all the previously bad channels are now fine. It maybe your signal strength is too high (unlikely by the sound of it) and remedies are available for that too.
It could be worth a try as, even if you get a perfect meter reading first time, at least you will know it's not your end causing the problem.

Unusual problem has just started and I would welcome ideas.
I'm in HP21 postcode and have a roof aerial with a mast amplifier feeding 2 TV's. Each TV is connected to it's own Humax PVR-9300T and all has been working really well for ages, even since digital switchover.
This week, I lose channels if I start recording another channel. For example, if I start recording BBC1 I lose YESTERDAY completely. If I stop recording all channels show 81% signal strength and 100% signal quality and work fine. When I'm recording it's the signal quality on all other channels that drops a lot. The signal strength remains at 81%.
This is happening on both Humax boxes but one box does not affect the other.
I used to be able to record 2 channels at the same time but this is impossible now.
Could 4G be affecting this signal quality issue I'm having?

P.S. I now know it's not 4G affecting this as I've just found out they haven't gone live here yet.
