Fordingbridge

Hi there - I live in Fordingbridge in Hampshire - I have two separate aerials on my roof both pointing towards the transmitter in north Hampshire rather than the closer IOW due to very tall trees. Both my aerial systems appear to have failed at the same time and I cannot pick up any digital channels - I have had no problems for years so confused why both systems would fail at once - has the strength of the transmitter being reduced - we are some way from it and unfortunately cable is not available- any suggestions? Thanks

Hi - very frustrated with the loss of my freeview on all my sets that have freeview inbuilt. Televisions run off two separate aerials (2 on one) and both aerials on each side of house pointed towards the same transmitter due to trees obscuring other transmitter but both are completely independent systems. I lost freeview on all tv's at the same time - recently found this site - found retuning instructions and it worked. Felt very pleased with self only to have again lost all pictures and although following guide as before all televisions refuse to acknowledge any aerial connection. Really not sure what is going on given that I did manage to reconnect once - anyone got any thoughts? Am beginning to think this is a conspiracy! Thanks in advance

Mike and jb38 thanks for taking the time to respond - the aerials as far as I know are completely separate so it may well be that somewhere along the line the issue is as you describe Mike - looks like the ladders for me tomorrow - jb you also make a good point around atmospheric conditions and the signal path - the aerials both face the same way and prior to tis we did experience interference - unfortunately the trees at the front of the house that prevent me from tuning towards the closer transmitter are just too high. And have a bloody preservation order on them -tv reception is the least of my worries! Investigations will begin and I will report back but again thanks so much for your interest and time.
