Since about 22 August 2012 owners of the 3View PVR are experiencing lockups of the receiver.
This is being put down to changes in the "SI Data".
Could you please tell me what changes were made around that date that have turned a previously working PVR into a non working PVR.
There are a dedicated bunch of owners who are hell bent on keeping this PVR working since the demise of the 3View Company.
Thanks .

For 3View users who have been following this --- I had a reply from the BBC today.

Quote:""Thanks for contacting the BBC regarding your Freeview reception.
I forwarded your correspondence to our engineers who have asked that I pass on the following:
"These changes would be in line with the D Book, with all manufacturers aware of these changes.
Normally a software download by the manufacturer would resolve these issues, but as 3View is no longer trading this will be difficult to achieve.
However, further news is available at: 3view HD PVR: News
It might also be useful to talk to your retailer with regard to this problem."
(Please note we are not responsible for the content of any non-BBC websites.)
I hope this information helps to clarify the situation and I'm grateful to you for taking the time to raise your concerns with us and Id like to assure you that we value your feedback highly.
Kind Regards

Just spotted this--- yes I receive Mt Leinster in Pembs CH 23.
What is odd is that my Sony KDL-32W4000 TV (HD ready no HD tuner SD only tuner)will give me a HD picture on RTE TWO !!
Very strange but I am not complaining.

Michael.
This from the manual spec ....
TV System
Digital DVB-T/DVB-C

Colour/Video System.
Digital MPEG-2MP@ML/HL,H264/MPEG-4 AVC
HP@L4.0,MP@L3.0

Before I put the aerial on the roof I made sure it worked although I also have a View 21 set top box for recording.
Initially I used a £20 "Picnic" box bought from Comet.
Thanks for the interest.
