nick : Is the aerial mounted horizontally (with the elements going side to side) or vertically (elements going up and down)? Most FM transmitters broadcast in both polarities whereas DAB is broadcast in vertical only, so if your aerial is mounted horizontally it will be rejecting most of the DAB signal. Also, does your aerial have just one combined aerial socket or does it have separate sockets for FM and DAB aerials?

David: This website exists primarily to provide technical help with TV and radio reception problems (which plenty of people suffer with), the links to watch a channel online are just provided for convenience, this website does not provide any streaming or catchup services itself. Most BBC radio stations can be listened to online throughout most of the world, the only restrictions tend to be related to sports rights such as football and the Olympics where the BBC only hold UK broadcast rights and cannot broadcast their coverage internationally. The BBC do not hold the rights to broadcast most TV programmes outside of the UK & Ireland and therefore have no choice but to restrict iPlayer to allow access to UK viewers only.

David Sampson: The Humanby transmitter is a Freeview Lite relay which only provides a small number of channels. If you provide a full postcode we can check whether you may be able to receive more channels from another transmitter. Just buying a new aerial and pointing it at the same transmitter is unlikely to make any difference (there is no such thing as a digital aerial, it is a piece of metal which doesn't know or care if the signals being received are analogue or digital).

All free TV channels in the UK

Gill Emeny : I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, but when setting up a Freesat box (or built in to a TV) you are asked to enter your postcode and it will put the ITV region for your area on channel 103.

Michael A: This is an independent technical help website, nobody from Sky (who own Pick) is likely to see your comment here and we have no way of passing it on. Try contacting the broadcaster via their own website.

john: Could you clarify which channel or service you're asking about? I'm not aware of any TV channel or radio station called Free Liverpool.

Tay Bridge (Fife, Scotland) DAB transmitter
Monday 11 April 2022 10:30PM

Mark McLeish: Tay Bridge is unlikely to be upgraded. Most of the area around Dundee is covered by the main Angus transmitter. Whilst there is plenty of overlapping coverage, Tay Bridge primarily exists to provide infill coverage of the main PSB channels for parts of Dundee which cannot receive Angus. Your TV Licence is not a subscription and does not entitle you to receive any particular channels. If you provide a full postcode we can check whether you might be able to receive more channels by pointing your aerial at Angus.

Jim Maxwell: There is currently planned maintenance taking place at Holme Moss. Radio 3 is still available on FM and DAB from other transmitters, as well as via Freeview, satellite and BBC Sounds so most listeners will be able to listen via an alternative way whilst Holme Moss is off air.

SAMUEL WILSON: You've got audio description switched on. Try pressing the AD button on your remote or look for a setting for it in the menu.
