jb38 thanks for the follow up info lets start from the top of the 6.42 pm post I have tried the PE6 7UU post code and the box result is invalid code again so moving on to the next item I selected the ITV HD channel and went to diagnostics and have a strength reading of 80% but only 60% quality although I notice on some channels the quality is 70% is the 60% to low as the picture is very good. The next part unable to do as neither Pick or Challenge channels are showing on the scan results list. I will try the second entry timed 7.58 PM on Thursday and post my results on here.

jb38 from your last entry I have tried this swap and run but the results are no luck so I have changed them back so at least I have tuner one working.
js thanks for you info regarding the way Freesat works and an answer why I am not getting very far can you give me any idea what is the cause of the problem and how it is possible to correct it. Thanks

jb38 thanks for the previous posting very good info the two tuners are now back and tried and tested with record and watching two separate channels as before the reset and SW update is it the SW update or the reset that would cause it to revert back to one.

jb38 and js Now the wind has managed to give me a day safe to be up a ladder with a very small adjustment to dish and LNB and using a very inexpensive meter with audible tone it was a very easy DIY job with very excellent results starting with PO code recognition and a very good signal strength and quality the HD channels coming in as full 1080p quality EPG shows all programs for all channels for all times even getting the offer to record a series of program same as we get with the free view box.

jb38 since doing the SW update I no longer have any signal strength showing on tuner 2 and having done a cable swap for a re test I still have non however I am sure that I had good reception on the second tuner last evening as I did a recording while watching another channel which I could not have done if there was no signal on the second tuner. Any one have any clues if there is any thing in the setup menu that may have an incorrect value in store.
