Reading previous post....I meant 'line of sight' (not site). Read the comments above about too much signal, but we were having the problem prior to the installer coming back and fitting the mast-head. There are no street lights within 3 miles in line of site.

Thanks for the advice, I think we will wait for switchover - the building is listed, so would need permissions to erect a dish (min 2 months), so better to wait

I have just 'converted' to digital, using new digital aerial in the loft (listed building - not easy to site outside), signal split to 2 new Sony Bravia sets. During the day I am getting signal strength 80% plus, quality 80% plus. During the evening the signal strength if anything gets higher (shows 100% commonly), but quality drops to 35% on non-bbc channels (occasional pixilation), and down to 5% or less on BBC, so either massive pixillation or blank screen with 'poor signal quality' message. installer has come back and fitted masthead amp, no improvement. Postcode is B49 5LJ, pointing to Malvern. We are on the west side of the Redditch - evesham ridge, direct line of site to Malvern.
