There seems to be something wrong with this map or the predictive feature that generates it. It does not show Mendip, which is actually the only TV transmitter from which I can get an adequate signal.

With the 700MHz clearance, a lot of the local MUXes had significant changes in ERP and I'm curious to know whether this and other factors have led to significant changes in radiation patterns. Have there been significant changes or nothing significant? For instance, the Mendip transmitter's ERP has been halved, while that from Guildford has more than doubled. Oxford and Sutton Coldfield now have two directional beams, rather than one. Is there somewhere where I can view an up to date map of local transmitters and the areas they serve?

I'm not sure where to ask this question but I'll ask it here. I have a 2016 43" LG TV and it seems that LG regards it as too old to support some apps, notably for me, Britbox. I also want Discovery+, which is not supported at all on LG. I am therefore thinking of getting Chromecast or another similar streaming dongle. I do sometimes watch YouTube videos and the LG TV is most annoying with these, sometimes running out of available memory, shutting down whatever I'm watching and then clearing its cache. I don't subscribe and have no intention of subscribibg to Netflix, Amazon Prime or Disney+. I do subscribe to Now TV Entertainment for access to the SyFy channel but this supported by my TV. Should I choose Chromecast or one of the others? If I choose Chromecast, should I go for the cheap version operated via my iPhone or the more expensive version with its own remote control?

The TV is LG webOS TV UH661V. The thing is that the Britbox app from the LG content store does not work with this TV because the TV is too old. I can download it but it doesn't work and LG says that my TV is not supported for the app.

Do you recommend any particular screen mirroring app? How much does it cost? How does it work? I have an iPhone and an iPad. Or do you think that the new Chromecast with Google TV would work well? It doesn't mirror anything as everything is in the dongle and it's controlled by the remote control that it comes with. Many of the mirroring apps have the dreaded "in-app purchases" that I think should be illegal. I'd much rather pay something up front or a monthly/annual subscription. That's much more honest than the false appearance of being free.

The LG TV just gets text on channel 100. I haven't tried 555, as I'm currently watching the Toshiba TV in my bedroom. It gets the various links you describe on channel 100. On 555 the Toshiba gets a message that the accessible TV is starting soon.

Is Amazon Fire better than Chromecast? However, I don't know if Amazon Fire supports Britbox and Discovery+.

I'll try and find a mirroring app that works.

With Hbb turned on 555 and 100 do work on the LG. Britbox still doesn't. I downloaded a free mirroring app but I couldn't get it to work. I phoned Britbox to see what they recommended and the customer service agent who took the call gave me the personal recommendation of using an Amazon Firestick. I bought the cheapest version at John Lewis (which was even cheaper because I work for Waitrose) and it works brilliantly.
