Hi Brian
I have a Digivision Freeview box that periodically turns on the teletext on BBC channels; I get a 'please wait' message followed by the red button or index page without any input from me. It also occasionally changes channels without input eg it might keep defaulting to BBC1.

Any thoughts on cause?? I am on Midhurst transmitter - it was happening before and now after the recent part switchover on 29/02
Thanks Phil

Hi
I am at GU33 7AH. Before switchover we could only get BBC channels - Following switchover on the 14th we are unable to receive programmes on channel 62 (ITV3 etc on SDN).
There seems to be a weakness on 59 and 50 but they do come through.
62 shows signal strength at around 68% and quality fluctuating from 0 - 50% on my Humax box

Any thoughts and will this improve
Thanks Phil

Hi KMJ
Thanks for the comments. I see that 62 is transmitted from Rowridge and Midhurst. Both transmit SDN. I have managed to pick up a programme guide for SDN channels on channel 62 using a manual tune. The programmes are numbered in the 800s suggesting the Midhurst signal is being blanked out by the Rowridge signal.I have checked video recorder RF output and all are set on numbers well away from 62. Tuning the analogue tuner I did find a few snowy analogue stations still transmitting so I suppose analogue interference is possible.

Hi All
I am in GU33 Liss. Since Midhurst switchover we have been unable to receive Ch62 SDN. Good signal strength but no quality. I have noted an analogue signal still transmitting on a channel in the early 60s which I believe is Heathfield. I get a snowy picture and good sound on two analogue channels with East Sussex news.
When a manual scan of CH 62 did on one ocasion pick up programme numbers they were in the 800s.
Are there any reports of Heathfield or another analogue transmision interfering with CH62.
PS Ive checked all leads, other devices etc as recommended; no probs there - the digital signal is clearly being scrambled by something.

Hi Mike Ive lived in Liss since the 80s and the signal has always been dire. You have a choice of 3 transmitters depending on which road you are in. I point to Midhurst and into trees and a hillside. Some are on Isle of Wight and some I believe on Hannington. I have trouble with SDN channels sometimes because I believe there is a clash with Oxford transmitter which is also using CH62. Having said that I do now receive a reasonable service subject to a few glitches on all channels. Best check which direction your aerial is facing and work out which transmmitter you are on.

PS Should have mentioned I have an aerial on the highest point of the roof with a masthead amplifier also a distribution amp in the house taking the signal to various rooms.
