Well the BBC has been dumbing down as well.

It could be the weather as there is a high at the moment. You may get an improvement with a better aerial. If it persists it might be worth checking you are not affected by 4G. This can be fixed with a simple filter which I understand is available free. Just a thought.

Satellite has weather problems as well like in heavy rain or snow but can be improved with a bigger disc. You will also loose signal for a few minutes when the sun is directly behind the satellite. Fibre broadband to the home is best.

Not surprised that there are no plans for the BBC to change anything to enable the end of licence fee. The BBC will not change anything until it is forced to.

The BBC do not have to follow the Sky model. There are many ways for the license fee to be abolished. The BBC are bound to say the license fee is the best way to finance the BBC. The license fee is just outdated and very unfair.

I have no experience of Sky door to door sales men but I did have an electricity sales man actually forge my signature on an agreement. Whenever I have ordered anything from Sky they always read out the terms and conditions in full. They also send a confirmation letter. I think Sky should pay commission on how long the customer keeps their subscription. In the end there are good and bad salesmen.

Does that include the gigantic expenses the members claim.

Just watched points of view. Most of the program was given over to Alan Yentob the BBC creative director to tell us how much we all love the BBC. Really out of touch and he gets at least £183,000 per year for creating very little.

The few viewers views were very critical of the bbc. Oddly one women described Ukip as a minority party!

I don't agree about the quality of the BBC's current output. Night after night I find there is nothing to watch. Even things that look good like Jamaica Inn or Quirk the BBC manage to mess up technically. Even worse the BBC tried to blame peoples TV sets at first.

I don't believe that it is possible for the license fee to keep up with RPI. There are too many who cannot afford it.

The license fee is unfair because we have to pay for the BBC even if we only watch other channels. The BBC have repeatedly been shown to be poor stewards of our money.

Mikeb you clearly believe that the license fee is good value for you. That's fine but everyone else should not be forced to pay for it too.

License fees are also being hit by online services which do not require a license.

My point about points of view was that the majority of the time was given over to BBC properganda. Only a few seconds was given over to viewers.

Quite agree with you Friedon the BBC should be privatized and we can be finaly free of the compulsory license fee. More pensions funds will be able to benifit and the government will benifit from the large amount of corperation tax.

MikeB really. It sounded a good idea and everybody wins. We might even get some decent programs. The last few months has been dominated by sports and repeats. Another benefit would be the proceeds of the sale which would help to repay some of the national debt which Gorden Brown left us.
