I had full freeview tv reception until 2 weeks ago. then there was a storm and I lost 2/3. Now, I have been away from home for a week. When I returned there was no tv reception of any kind. The two transmitters in my area, Oxford and Mendip, report no problems of any kind. Can someone help identify why I have no freeview?

Hi,

My post code is LE2 3WB. I lost everything while starting up my separate digi box through the RF cable. I have retrieved all five channels (1,2,3,4,5 good, clear pictures) on the TV. However,I am unable to clear the Zero key which previously linked the video player to enable me to watch the tapes. Any suggestions?

HELP!...I am pensioner, so please keep the dialogue simple. I have an old analogue tv, using a sky box, which is not longer paid for, so just freeview. up until yesterday could get most programmes, however, now all I get on every channel is there is a technical fault with this channel try again later..... two days now and still the same message...not sure what to do. I am housebound so tv important to me.

Loveday: This can be caused by a variety of reasons including the box itself having developed a fault, the simplest test you could try is to reset the box by removing the mains supply to it then waiting about 15 seconds before reconnecting it again.

After re-powering leave it about 30 seconds or so before trying to take it out of standby, once done you should see "searching for listings" appearing shortly afterwards.

Loveday: Re: reply I made to you. I just noticed that you have also made a posting elsewhere on this site and in which you have given a little more information about the problem, this now suggesting that my assumption was possibly incorrect about what type of box you were referring to, i.e: a Sky satellite type (based on the screen messages you reported), so in the interests of accuracy I would like to point out that the advice was given purely with the aforementioned box in mind.

Hello,
Which transmitter should I be using from Shaftesbury? Currently, I am pointing at the Salisbury one.
