John Langridge: Weather conditions since Wednesday have resulted in out of area signals traveling further than normal due to the inversion effect. Many viewers experienced interference to TV reception as a result. Mux2 is currently predicted to give variable reception at your location, on 18th April 2012 the frequency will change to that currently used by analogue BBC1 and the power increased to 200kW. You are then expected to have excellent reception these channels.

I am in Bermondsey, clear Line Of Sight with the Crystal Palace tower. I have a "Technika" STB which has been happily upgrading itself and now, since Friday Night/Suturday Morning (16/17 March 2012) when it did its last "Guide update", it tells me no new channels have been added. That is all I get... no guide, or list of channels.
I tried auto channel updates and it does run through the channels, some take longer than others, but the end result again is, "No channels have been added, check your antena"
When I do a manual channel update, it only gives me the option to enter channel numbers between 22 and 69. When I do this it tells me the signal strength and quality of some channels are good, but when I try to add the channel it tells me that the channel is not found.
I was hoping to find many similar comments on this board - maybe a failed firmware/os/crypto update? - but it seems this problem is vey much localised to me! :-) Yet, if anyone can give me advice/guidance, I would appreciate it. Or maybe it is just the annual replacement of the technika.
Thanks for your time.

Pete, I too had a Technika and ended up getting my money back as I was unhappy with the picture quality. I now have 2 Logik (Curry's/Dixon's own brand) LED TVs in the bedrooms and they have given excellent results
