Keith Curley: You have given a postcode, so we have no idea what your signal should be like. However, since there is a weak signal alert for yesterday, but you've had the problem for a fortnight, it sounds like its your aerial system, epecially since you previously had a good signal, but it now on the slide.
Classic answer is that your system has a problem. Possibly as simple as changing thr aerial lead in the back of the set, but its could be a failing booster (if you have one), fraying wire, corroded connection, etc. Start at the TV and work your way upwards. A postcode would help (just put into the website), and so you can see what msort of signal you should get.
BTW - lots of people hark back to analogue, but the problem with your reception would have manifested itself in much the same way - the signal would have become fuzzy instead of blocky.

Maxine: As no problems have been listed against the Dover transmitter as yet, your best policy would be to try and ascertain if others are also being affected by checking with one of your neighbours.
If though it transpires that they are also experiencing problems, then it might even be caused by interference from stations located across the channel in exactly the same way as Dover is capable of affecting their reception at certain times of the year.

Chris: The answer is no, as True crime (60) is only broadcast on low powered "local" (restricted coverage) multiplexes which were added to a (limited) number main stations which already has two additional (COM7 & COM8) multiplexes, Dover only being a standard 6 multiplex full service station.
By the way, re Ian Smiths reply, if you do happen to have a dish, (albeit I very much doubt that you will) the FEC setting Ian omitted to mention is 5/6, although this setting is entered automatically on some devices.
